The Heineken Experience is a museum about the Heineken Brewery and the Heineken beer brand. It is located in the former Heineken Brewery in Amsterdam. The museum shows the history of the brewery and the process surrounding beer brewing. With an interactive tour, you can see this history. You also get 2 refreshments in the museum cafés. The Heineken Experience is one of the most popular tourist attractions in Amsterdam. The building has 4 floors and 18 attractions.
Built in 1867, the building was Heineken's first brewery. The building served as a brewery until 1988 after which, in 1991, the remaining part of the building was opened as the Heineken Reception and Information Centre. Ten years later, this name was changed to the Heineken Experience. Around 2010, the Heineken Experience was awarded the Thea Award in the ‘Brand Experience’ category.
The building is more than a museum. You can organise various parties here. They don't shy away from meetings and lunches either.
Take a look at the old copper beer tanks, horse stables and taste clear Heineken beer in the Heineken tasting room.
